BLOCKLORDS Launches Integration of Matic Network For NFT Heroes
With the Matic mainnet now fully launched, Arctic Seascape is pleased to announce that Hero NFT Imports have been implemented within the BLOCKLORDS universe! Players can now move their heroes to and from Ethereum, where their NFTs can be traded on marketplaces such as Opensea. This will connect the decentralized economy with BLOCKLORDS, all made possible in a scalable way thanks to the power of Matic Network.

BLOCKLORDS is a medieval grand strategy game where players fight for items, resources and titles in order to amass the greatest power possible and rule over other players. Created by a small but dedicated indie team, the game has been developed and refined over the last year and is now available for free to anyone who wants to try it! With this latest integration of the Matic Network, players will now be able to monetize their earned items and heroes.
Connecting Wallet To Account
The first step to import or export an NFT hero is to connect your BLOCKLORDS account to an Ethereum wallet in the blockchain panel.Currently, Metamask is the only supported option, with more wallets integrated in the future. Once a Metamask wallet is connected to your account, you will be able to login with your wallet each time instead of using your email login. Do keep in mind that a wallet address can only be linked with one BLOCKLORDS account. Once your wallet and account is linked, you will be ready to import your NFT Hero!
Importing Your Hero
Once Metamask is linked to your BLOCKLORDS account, you can import NFT heroes directly from Ethereum. If you do not own a hero yet, you can buy limited edition ones from Opensea. Each newly registered BLOCKLORDS player does receive one hero for free, but NFT heroes come equipped with special items and titles, which will come with unique rewards. If you already have an NFT and want to import him into the game, you can click on the import panel and select the hero you want to import. A Metamask transaction will be triggered with the required ETH gas fee. Do keep in mind that fees have been quite high on Ethereum recently and that your transaction could be a bit slow unless the fee is adjusted accordingly. Also do keep an eye out to make sure the gas price isn't enormous which can at times happen during high-pressure moments. If the gas fee is suitable to you, you can go ahead and confirm the transaction which will begin the process of importing your hero to the Matic Network! Please be patient as this process could take a few minutes in total. Once the hero is imported into Matic, you will be able to use him on the map to attack your enemies and defend your lands. GAS Fee Refunds
Due to the high transaction costs experienced on Ethereum powered by the rise of DeFi dapps, Matic has generously offered to reimburse GAS transaction costs to the first 100 players who import their BLOCKLORDS hero NFTs to the Matic version. This initiative shows that Matic is committed to building the ultimate bridge gateway between its sidechain and Ethereum. Refunds will be sent out on a weekly basis to all players until the fund is depleted, so be sure to import your hero as soon as possible to take advantage of this offer!
